National Service Scheme, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India, popularly known as NSS was launched in Gandhiji’s Birth Centenary Year 1969, with primary focus on the development of personality of students through community service. The activity forum for NSS includes areas like, National Integration Camp, Blood Donation, Plantation, Immunization, Shramdaan, Disasters Management, and Adventure Programs.

Earth Hour- On occasion of Earth Hour, Green Brigade organized Lamp Glowing activity at Bindu Chowk, Kolhapur.
Also, students from various locations of Kolhapur shuts off light for 1 hour from 7.30 pm -8.30 pm on dated 25th March 2023.
SWEET BOX DONATION-All the students of Dr. D. Y. Patil Polytechnic, Kolhapur conducted activity of SWEET BOX DONATION on occasion of Diwali to needy peoples in Kolhapur city on dated 23th October 2022.
First aid KIT Donation– To the peoples who are working in hazardous situation at gural ghar located near Kolhapur.
Sweet box and cloth donation – On occasion of Diwali, Donated Sweet box and cloths at Jaragi and Sheloshi Dhanagarwada, Gaganbawada.
River Cleaning activity– Cleaned pachanga ghat at Bawada.
Road safety and traffic awareness drive– In association with kolhapur RTO students participated and distributed various road safety and traffic rules leaflets.
Note book donation– Note books are donated to needy students in Kolhapur municipal corporation school.
Webinar on Cyber Security– Students attended webinar on Cyber Security.
Participation in Ganesh Visarjan Miravanuk– Students participated in miravanuk for helping kolhapur police and municipal corporation.
Voting awareness chain– Students formed a chain to aware peoples about their voting rights.
